Just so you know

Just so everyone knows, my avatar is not a picture of me.

It's just some random fat drunk guy.

How

How did ska ever get mixed in with punk? I know it sounds awesome but they're almost complete oppisites.

And then how did reggae get mixed in with rap. They're pretty much oppisites too.

I think I spelled oppisites wrong.

?

I've never actually understood blogs and i never thought i would blog but then i came across this and thought it was a great place to share music you like and listen to music other people like. But it seems like the most popular thing here is blogging.

So basically this is just for people to sit in front of there computers and talk about ska. Barely anyone even rates anything. And almost nobody comments on anything. They're just blogging.

People blog about anything (what they ate for breakfast, how annoying their friends are, how good their farts smell.) but nothing that really matters. If you're going to blog make sure it has a point.

Thanks

Ska Analogy

I just thought of the best analogy for ska.

Ska is like a tree

First wave is the roots, sucking in different sounds and cultures like nutriants.

Second wave is the trunk of the tree, it is what holds everything together, with out it ska would still be underground.

Third wave is all the branches. they're all coming from the same source but going in different directions. (ska-core, ska-punk, etc.)

What do you think of that?
